Stitchery Stories embroidery and textile art podcast is a globally popular podcast, and everyday it is featured in many places around the world in the Apple Podcasts Top 200.
Listeners have sent a wonderful range of highlights and stories.
Common ‘threads’ are:
- Keeping connected with each other thru through embroidery
- Community projects and creative challenges
- Using up what we have
- Being creative keeps us all sane
- Our art tells stories, creates movements, honours people and creates a bright spot in a gloomy day.
I received so many lovely photographs that it will take me a while to compress them and add them into this post, so please bear with me whilst I come back and do that.
Right now I just want to get this out into the world whilst it is still the 30th December – and I want to get out for a walk too before the golden winter sunshine vanishes!
Update: 2nd January 2021.
YAY I have (finally) added all the information. The images have been a challenge… they were all at different sizes, resolutions, shapes. So I have at least made them all square for consistency and tried to display them in a consistent size. It’s not ‘perfect’ but I’ve spent more than enough time on this and so this is now the finished item.
If you enjoyed this episode, why not share it with your stitching friends? The more the merrier!
In the meantime here are all the fabulous ladies who contributed their 2020 Stitchery Highlight.

Sadly, I didn’t receive Kris’s highlight until after I had recorded the episode, but it’s a fab story, so Kris has written it as a blog post.
